Giving Tuesday…’s for Trash!
On Tuesday, the 29th of November Tuesdays for Trash together with Giving Tuesday is encouraging people worldwide to give back to our Earth!
We aim to collect at least 1000 pounds of trash and mobilize our individuals around the world for a cleaner & healthier home. Because together, our small acts of change can transform our world!
2022 Run for the Planet
On Saturday, September 17th, participants around the world will be joining together for a community led or individual run with the intention to pick up trash seen along their chosen route -- whether it be around their neighborhood, a trail or city streets. During the event, all participants are encouraged to stream, post, and discuss their findings on personal social media platforms while tagging @TuesdaysForTrash / @DirtbagRunners and using #RunForThePlanet to increase awareness about the issue. We can’t wait to see the changes made around the world and look forward to sharing the photos of our impact together!
SOA Ocean Week
Tuedsdays for Trash has pledged with SOA to clean up beaches from plastic pollution from 25th-30th of July. Tag your actions with #tuesdaysfortrash.
National Cleanup Day
Trash is everywhere, it’s in every corner on every block in every country around the world. Even when we try to escape our urban communities into the outdoors we often find litter scattered around our favorite trails. But what if every time we passed or ran by a piece of trash, we picked it up?

Tu Bishvat Worldwide Cleanup
Tu’Bishvat is an ecological Jewish holiday recognized as a reminder of our connection to the Earth and our role as caretakers of the environment. To celebrate we’ve decided to team up with Ourstreetspdx to organize a worldwide virtual cleanup where $5 for every bag of trash collected Jan 23-26th will be donated to Flash Forest (an org using UAV technology and ecological science to mass plant trees based on the area's biological needs)! All you have to do to participate is grab a trash bag, mask and gloves, then pick up some litter and share it on social media(tag @tuesdaysfortrash @ourstreetspdx) with Happy Tu Bishvat !

Terror-ific Cleanup
Halloween-themed community litter cleanup event where participants will be coming together the afternoon of October 24th to cleanup around Ockley Green Middle School. There will be music, food, face painting, and a costume contest with prizes! Volunteers must RSVP. COVID precautions in place
Run for the Planet
A donation-based Run for the Planet organized in collaboration with Dirtbagrunners. Participants around the world will be joining together for a community-led or individual run with the intention to pick up trash seen along the chosen running trail. During so, all are encouraged to stream, post, and discuss their findings on personal social media platforms while tagging both organizations or using #DBRxT4T to increase awareness about the issue. 20 participants will randomly be selected to win various prizes including a Patagonia duffle bag, DBR hats and T4T sticker sets.
Crafty Cleanup
Community litter cleanup event where participants will be coming together the evening of September 29th to cleanup around Ockley Green Middle School. There will be music, food, a table for voter registration, and opportunities to win prizes while creating art to be hung up at the local Garden!
